AIR-OIL LUBRICATION SYSTEMS
Air/Oil Lubrication normally consists of a continuously operating air stream that is used to provide cooling to the lubrication point and as a transport medium to carry small quantities of oil to the lubrication point.
Oil, which is injected into the air stream at regular intervals, coats the surfaces to be lubricated, reducing friction and wear.
DropsAVip4 Series products - These small, fully enclosed devices are ideal for use in small systems and offer fully integrated control and monitoring in one compact package. Typical applications: high-speed bearings, spindle lubrication in machine tools, micro-spray coating applications, gear lubrication, chain lubrication and cleaning.
The Vip4 Air System offers one of the most compact and feature rich air/oil lubrication systems available for spindles and is able to achieve a significantly reduced amount of oil delivery and is a must for such systems and has positive feedback.
A variant of the Vip4 Air specifically for chain or conveyor application can be used in any application where the lubrication cycle is based on impact rather than time.
In a typical application, a sensor attached to the Vip4 Chain monitors the number of links passing through the lubrication nozzle and sprays a micro-amount of oil into the spot, increasing chain or conveyor life without wasting lubricant that can drip off the chain and contaminate the chain.
